Legend TDI:
electronics enhances performance
and protects the environment
The new Legend TDI is
equipped with the latest Perkins 1106 series engines.
The new 6-cylincler turbo engines with intercooler and
electronically-controlled Westgate valve provide exceptional
power and a high torque backup allowing for
greater flexibility.
The engine electronics ensures optimum and clean combustion
for improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions in line
with EURO 2 / TIER 2 standards.
Furthermore, the Dual Power system, combined with the engine
electronics, increases automatically the PTO power.
In
addition to the new engines, which develop powers of up to
183.5 HP ISO, the new tractor series incorporates two
transmission options - Power Six and Top-Tronic: a new
"Business Class" cab offering a comfortable driving seat
with ergonomically arranged controls, new hydraulics with
Bosch auxiliary valves and a new front axle with mounting
facilities for an axle with hydraulic suspensions. All these
features combine with the aggressive design of the new
Legend TDI to further enhance the quality of this tractor
range.
The engine electronics, combined with the new engines and
the Top-Tronic transmission, maximizes the performance and
comfort of the Legend TDI ensuring maximum productivity
while minimizing operating costs.

New
Perkins (Euro 2/Tier 2) 1100 series engines with tilting hood
The new 6-cylincler turbo engines, which power the Legend TDI, are
equipped with intercooler and Westgate valve governed by an
electronic control unit and provide constant power and high torque
backup allowing for greater flexibility.
The Cruise Control facility, combined with the engine electronics,
allows the operator to set the tractor speed and keep it constant
regardless of load variations, resulting in increased productivity.
The engine electronics improves combustion reducing dramatically
fuel consumption, noise and emissions.
The Dual Power system (models 145 and 165), combined with the engine
electronics, increases automatically the PTO power.
The tilting hood provides easy access to the engine for routine
service and maintenance (fig. A).

The electronically-control led suspended axle ensures high speeds on
rough grounds and improves manoeuvrability for increased comfort,
safety and productivity, while keeping ground clearance unaltered
(fig. B).
Top-Tronic
transmission (108FWD + 36REV) with
De-Clutch Control and Reverse Power Shuttle
The Top-Tronic transmission triples under load the 36 speeds of the
basic transmission (Speed Six) offering a total choice of 108FWD +
36REV gears.
The Top-Tronic is activated with the green buttons integrated in the
gear lever (fig. Q. The De-clutch Control (orange button on the gear
lever) (fig. C) and the Reverse Power Shuttle (lever under the
steering wheel) (fig. D) enable clutch-less engagement and reversal
of all gears.
High-performance
hydraulics
and auxiliary valve versatility
The hydraulic system provides a maximum total flow rate of GPM
30,5: (115 It/min). The system features 5 auxiliary valves of
different type (fig. E); controlled by joystick for front loader use
(1 ); controlled by lever (2); with electro-hydraulic flow diverter
controlled by button (3).
The flow diverter enables to alternately activate the right lifting
rod, the top link or the valve itself, thus bringing the number of
rear auxiliary valves from 5 to 7 for enhanced versatility and
increased implement efficiency.
Hydra
PTO:
2-speed PTO with hydraulic engagement
and Dual Power system (on models 145 -165) for extra power.
The wet disc clutch , operated by a hydraulic pushbutton (P)
(fig. H), enables smooth and progressive engagement of the PTO.
The Dual Power system, which utilizes the engine electronics,
enables the PTO power to be automatically increased resulting in
enhanced performance and productivity.

"Business Class" cab with new interiors.
The cab mounted on a silent-block suspended platform features
full glazing for all-round visibility, and a clear sunroof
particularly useful when working with front loaders.
Ergonomic controls, an excellent automatic air-conditioning system
offer the driver both an ergonomic driving seat and a comfortable
working environment
New
electronic Landtronic power lift with Shock Absorber
The new electronically-control led Landtronic power lift with
controls located in comfortable and ergonomic position (fig. F) on
the driver's right incorporates all main functions and regulations
(fig. G) offering maximum comfort and fingertip control of
implements.
The Shock-Absorber is a feature designed to dampen shock loads and
pitching caused by the weight of implement during transport for safe
and comfortable driving on road.
